Good for under $100 - Great for under $50.
These are great headphones for under $50.00 and can be compared with the sound quality of much pricier phones. The lows are clear and not too pounding. Good balance across the whole spectrum but could be a bit better with the highest range. A little tight and warm on the ears but still comfortable - a matter of personal preference. I don't listen for hours at a time so this is ok. They have good noise isolation. I prefer noise isolation headsets without noise canceling because they tend to produce better overall sound quality. When you think of it, the noise canceling is canceling out various ranges of the tone and must affect the music quality by their very design unless you pay really big bucks for the best which I have never tried. I do agree with other reviews that the cord is a bit too long and the winding thing is a big large and heavy but it is a small drawback to an otherwise superior headset. I ditched the winder and use Velcro chord retainers to contain the excess. I'll use these for everything from casual listening of my cellphone tunes and Pandora radio to connecting to the better stereo system with high end recorded music and for monitoring video/audio recording I do for a theater group (the stereo and the monitoring are where the long chord will come in handy). I would recommend these units. Did not give a full 5 stars because of the tightness, lack of extreme highs and chord issues but great for the price.Read full review

Moderate quality
I connect these headphones to a new Denon bookshelf system, and am moderately happy with the sound quality. Classical sounds pretty good, but average experience when listening to rock/pop. The ear cuffs become uncomfortable on my ears after about 15 minutes of wearing them. Given the price, this is probably what should be expected.Read full review

Good quality sound for those on a budget.
Over the years I've purchased a dozen or more headphones to meet my ever increasing amateur audiophile needs. Although these headphones won't match those in the $200+ bracket, they will certainly meet the requirements of those who are looking for a lightweight, portable, on ear upgrade to earbuds and the like. At this price I was able to purchase multiple sets of headphones to be used in training videos for my employees. Certainly worth the price.Read full review

The World-Beating Budget Cans for Boom!
While there's an older HMD that's my usual fave for dry (for the Z), these are super for an FOH disc tango mix for their other-world bass bias (vs others, like the DR6M you can't find anymore, or the MDR6 or WHY Sony calls theirs nowadays, that we always had at the desk). A little less zingy on the highs than others, well heavy bottom- work together great for getting not too much upright and more violin so I don't have to think too much and compensate in that idiom in which I might be doing the knobs at the moment. For straight listening- not that I'm everyone's expert, but it might work for you- I guess cool if you're skateboarding at the moment or into dub- really massive on low end freqs, especially for such low end price. Even nicer for less mid honk than other foreign (aka Eastern-made)-sourced drivers with bigger coils/magnets, when one might guess otherwise. It's not just the cans- I've tried these drivers in other fitments with the same result. (As if my opinion matters, but may do for one other person.) Easier to wear all day than those earpinching foamy things they used to make (414s), among their affordables. Just be ready for lots of boom... (I do the 4 star thing because they are great for me, though so boom-weighted they'd throw me for flatness for sure if I weren't looking for that bias, otherwise, given the price range new, I'd do 5 over any I've had to hear, which aren't many in that bunch. Just me, again...)Read full review

GREAT HEADPHONES!!
Looking for new headphones in hopes of a high end brand at a reasonable price, and I think I found that here!! Despite being titled used, these don't have scratch on them and look like they are brand new. The long cord was totally unexpected but a great plus, as I don't like the hassles of wireless pairs. If I had to write something negative it would be the L and R labels are not as easy to see and I wish the cups folded like some comparable models, but I honestly don't care about this. Also, not to mention the great sound quality, and just the right amount of bass without distortion. For $ 15, I don't think anything else could come remotely close, new or used!! Would definitely recommend!!Read full review

Always Great
I have to replace this very same "model" of headphones about every three or four years, unfortunately, because suddenly, I lose sound out of either the right or the left side. It seems as if it's always a sudden short in the wiring right next to the jack, which is really, really disappointing, because the headphones are -- for me -- expensive. It's not even as if I use them as often as I used to (when I was doing full-time at-home transcribing). I now use them primarily for watching television online or listening to music via my computer (so I don't bother my neighbors), with only occasional transcribing. But I've never found another noise-cancelling headset (FOR THE PRICE) that satisfies my cheap needs as well.
When they work, they REALLY work. The sound quality is very good... again, for MY needs. I'm not sitting on a studio, mind you. So these work for MY purposes.
So I must be coming off as an utter contradiction to myself, I know. But it's difficult as all hell to find a place where I could possibly try and try and try dozens of OTHER similarly-priced headphones under the same circumstances as how I've been using my Sennheisers.Read full review

Great sound- thin wires and plastic
These are the best sounding headphones I've tried for under $100. The wires are very long and thin so don't trip on it! The adjustments are cheap and the cups tend to be loose. Other than that- I love these. If the design matched the sound quality I'd give these 6 stars!Read full review

I would buy another set just like the ones I've got. Good/Great product..
see above comments. This is my 5th pair of Sennheiser headphones. They are great, clear, lightweight phones. Also they have a long plug-in cord that allows you to be mobile

Sennheiser HD202 Headphones
I use these for music listening direct out from laptop headphone output or through a Line 6 guitar pocket pod.
I am very pleased with the sound quality and balance. The phones are very comfortable but do not completely isolate
from room sounds which is a plus for me as often I play along or am figuring out song parts using a standard guitar amp. In other words in this mode one can hear both sources. The connecting wires are long but there is a reel to
adjust to the length needed. The package also includes a 3.5 mm to 1/4" jack adapter. The HD202 are great for the quality and price.Read full review

Lightweight and comfortable on ears
Was looking for a headset that was reasonable and had good sound with the bass. And this was the one. I've had Sennheiser headsets in the past and knew that this would be a good choice.

Great Headphones
For the money, these are the best headphones I have ever used. After thousands of hours using these as a session musician, I accidentally pulled out one side's cord, so after using my 1st set of Sennheisers for 5 years, I went out to ebay and bought a new set. I Should get more than 5 years out of these.Read full review
