Best Shark vacuum for me

I have owned Shark vacuums for many years. This is the best one I've ever owned. The suction power is so powerful and the LED lights in front are bright. I have long hair and also a long-haired cat. The self cleaning brush does NOT wrap the hair around the rolls. It goes right up to the canister bypassing the rolls. No more having to cut the hair away from the rolls. The cannister is light weight to remove from the base and continue sweeping up the stairs. The only one downfall is the top of the canister is narrow requiring I put a wooden spoon up in it to remove the dust bunnies and hair.Read full review

A Tank

While the cleaning capabilities of this Vac are great, it fails in 2 areas: Weight and Usability effort.

Suction is so High that moving cleaning head around required 2 hands to move it. This from my petite wife who is not a wimp.

In addition, the weight is almost 20 pounds which is almost 10 more than most stick vacuums.

Love everything about it except the power pet brush

The suction is amazing. The only vacuum I can get to pick up all of the pet hair from short hair dog and long hair cat. It’s easy to use, very maneuverable, and quality built. My only gripe is the powered pet brush doesn’t really do much for my cats hair on the carpeted steps. So honestly the az2000 model would be the same as the az2002 because I don’t use the powered pet hair attachment (that’s the only difference between the two).Read full review

Dog hair champion

Powerful vacuum and very easy to use. I had an old Dyson that was not picking up my dog's hair - her hair is very fine and long and she sheds continuously. The Shark does a great job. I even did a test when I first received it: I vacuumed a carpet with my Dyson, then went over it again with the Shark. The Shark picked up a LOT more fur. Perhaps Dyson's newer vacuums work better with dog hair now, but I am very happy with the Shark and highly recommend it if you have a shedding dog, like I do. Read full review

cons: Is a bit heavy to lug around, attachments need better placement or make more secure as they fall off all the time, stairs hose could use length (I don't use the lift off and carry as my 3 sets of stairs are only 6 steps) it just reaches the top step.
