Best hoover I’ve had
This hoover is brilliant, it’s easy to use and easy to empty. Makes my carpets look brand new, suction is great, would highly recommend

Great suction
This hoover is great for being able to reach for dust etc with the detachable handle. The suction is great in this mode and also in normal stand up mode. Every function is easy to operate. Easy to empty the 'bag' canister. The settings for Carpet and Hard Floor are on the handle so easy to switch. My only disappointment is that the hoover is very heavy. Otherwise than that, its a fantastic hoover, love it.Read full review...

good suction and easy to use.
Its a great vacuum with very good suction. It is lighter than my last vacuum. Just one downside for me is that the hose and the cable are a little short. I would prefer a greater reach on the hose, without having to lift off the middle bit of the hoover as that makes getting up to reach the high bits in my house tricky when climbing ladders or standing on a chair.

Good value product that works extremely well and is easy to use- Thank You
Having raved about Dyson for several years I was becoming disillusioned at the cost of he products. Having read about Shark we decided to give the brand a chance and to our amazement it does a fantastic job on rugs and hardwood flooring. Should have got one soonerRead full review...

Compact and powerfull
I was recommended a shark as the best for pet hair removal from carpets. After vacuuming a couple of meters of carpet I could see why, an almost embarrassing amount of pet hair appeared the vacuum. It is very powerful and thus maybe a little hard to push compered with other vacuums, but the smaller head does makes it easy. The lift away feature for stairs is very good the lead is plenty long enough for a normal flight of stairs with the same cleaning power.
Overall for a leaded vacuum it is fairly compact and very powerful if pet hair removal is a problem then this is the vacuum for you. At first you empty it quite often, but after the first pass or two not so often. I found the Shark to be fairly quiet, but the small stair attachment is a bit noisy. Read full review...

What a hoover
Bought the shark for the wife to replace a Henry hoover what a difference within doing a 6 foot square piece of living room carpet the dust hopper was rammed full we were shocked. We have a beagle and the wife hoovers regularly as he does shed. The front room is cream and after a couple of hoovers round you would think the carpet was a new one.Well recommended to anyone that has pets and the anti tangle hair remover is a great bonus as the wife has really long hair no more untangleing the rollers. Easy to unhook and do the stairs and round skirting boards and the extra brush roller does a great job on our tiled floors as well.We have had Dyson Vax and other hoovers but the just puts them to shame have thought about getting a Shark for a while brother has one and swears by it. Worth looking around like I did and got it on an offer but saying that after using it for a week now would have bought full price but we all love an offer or a bargain. Plus the 5 year parts and labour covering all the hoover is excellent 2 mins to register online and fully covered. Happy hoovering.Read full review...

Great value for money.
I bought this refurbished, it arrived looking as new!
It's fairly lightweight, easy to use and versatile.
I especially like being able to detach the cylinder from the main body of the vacuum cleaner to clean the stairs.
Overall I am really pleased with my value for money purchase especially as it comes with a twelve months guarantee.Read full review...

Verdict still out on anti hair-wrap, otherwise heavy with tiny dust cup.
Seems to be powerful, picks up a lot of dirt, feels very solid and all buttons and connections for tolls and lift-away etc intuitive and easy to use. However, much heavier than my previous two vacuum cleaners (both VAX, including a high end and budget model) so harder work to use though it is surprisingly manoeuvrable due to the tilting joint at the base. Width for dust pickup is at least an inch less that my previous vacuum cleaner which presumably means it will take longer for the same floor area though maybe helps with getting into tight spaces. LED lights on the front are a daft gimmick and for an already well lit room seem to make it harder to see what you are doing due to the over bright light pools, only useful if you like to vacuum in the dark! The powered liftaway function is useful for the stairs compared to lifting an entire upright machine but the liftaway part is still rather heavy - I'm young and fit so can manage it but it may be too heavy to use easily for an older person. The most annoying feature is the size of the dust collection cup - it is absolutely tiny. Even vacuuming a single bedroom I had to empty it multiple times and twice on the stairs. Maybe that is a reflection of how poorly my previous vacuum had been working once the brushroll had broken when tangled so maybe in future there won't be so much to pick up but you certainly need to plan on emptying after every single room., though at least it is very easy to empty. Feel like I'll be getting a workout every time I use it though both due to the heavier unit than I'm used to and running back and forth to the bin.
Key feature I bought it for is anti hair-wrap. Hard to judge that at the moment. There is certainly some hair wrapped around in the middle of the brushroll but the instructions say that is expected and it will slowly get fed into the machine, especially when cleaning hard floors which slowly spins another softer roll. Only time will tell on that one but it certainly hasn't entirely clogged itself up in the way that caused the roll on my old machine to fail.Read full review...

A corded Shark is hard to beat
Love it. Strong suction. Does a great job.
Losing the separate brush switch is an improvement.
If I'm really picky the dust collection box is somewhat smaller than our previous Shark.
