Life saver for shoes

While somewhat pricey Shoe Goo has done a good job for me of repairing shoes that have to my mind prematurely worn, In my case a particularly comfortable pair, I just did not want to throw out. The right sole was badly worn, which I put down to it being the accelerator/brake foot.
After a thorough roughing up and cleaning of the area I was able to complete a repair that has to date lasted several months. I used several thin layers to build up a decent thickness, About 20% of the sole area was involved, roughing up and cleaning with alcohol after each application, that was left overnight to cure.
Straight from the tube, it is quite easy to work. I used a tongue depressor dampened lightly in water, so it won't stick, to work the Shoe Goo right in to any corners, and on to the earlier layer. If you use too great a thickness, be prepared for it to 'sag' if not left to set in a way to avoid it doing so.
The only real downside, as far as I am concerned is its cost, why the clear appears to be a bit cheaper than the black I also find peculiar.

Certainly not worth the money

I bought this to repair worn areas of several pairs of shoes. The glue appeared to be like a black version of UHU in use but was quite awkward to apply neatly.I followed the instructions and the leather was clean and dry. However,on my first use the adhesive peeled off.I was very disappointed as other people had left such good reviews.I’m sure it will come in useful to repair fabrics in future but I would not recommend for shoes.Read full review

Brilliant shoe glue and has numerous other uses as well

Purchased the clear version and have had great succes with it not only attaching shoe soles and heels but also building up an uneven heel shank before attaching the new heel to it, I have also managed to seal a leaking fuel bottle with it as well as using as an adhesive for many small tasks arround the house. The Blacck version I purchased so I could use on those exposed areas on the outside of shoe/boot heels, Read full review

Shoe goo review

Have given it four stars because when I ordered. it was supposed to be black and would have looked better on black heels can colour with a marker I suppose but it seems like its stuck well and firm enough as for how long it will last we will have to wait and see because it's only just set but have done two heels with plenty left and easy enough to work with would buy again preferably black Read full review

FIX THEM BOOTS

Repair all the cracks before they become irreparable. Tough, strong and permanent makes it ideal for active footwear and work boots. If your good at tidy gluing – any shoe or leather, rubber and malleable material should bond exceptionally well. Try not to breath it in. as it comes with a toxin warning.Read full review

A Skateboarder's Best Friend

Great item, simple to use and sets fairly quickly and can be used for a lot of repairs!

As a skateboarder my shoes get torn to bits and decided to give this a go considering how much I love my Busenitz and didn't want to buy brand new shoes, my shoes were coming apart so I sewed what I could then gave it two costs of this where its needed and they're back to full strength and look a lot better than they did.

I really don't mind the initial glossiness because after a few skates it'll rub that off and it'll look more like the suede, it looks better and has given them easily another month's worth of skating for £14.99 a tube👌🏻plus I have PLENTY left to have many more repairs so it's going to save me a decent amount in new skate shoes.

Does the job but messy

Used this to repair my partners shoe heel witch had collapsed. Filled heel in stages which has worked although difficult to get smooth finish as it is quite runny at first then goes off quite quick and can't then be smoothed much. Found the black version but was expensive for one tube.Read full review

Great Glue, needs to be cheaper

wish I could get this product cheaper - it is a lot cheaper in the US but expensive in the UK.. It is the best product for repairing the warn out souls of shoes from shoe drag. The clear Shoe Goo seems to be less liquid and easier to apply, but the black suits the colour of most soles. 110ml best sizeRead full review

Versatile sealant

i used this to repair rubber seals around the door of my convertible ca to prevent water leaks so the rubber glue aspect appealed. So far durable and works well and cures after a few minutes which allows further manipulation into the required shape. Time will tell to see how long it lasts. Would have been 5 stars but thought it is slighly expensive compared to silicon but it is certainly stronger.Read full review

A Multi-use Product.

'Shoe Goo' is a very effective product. It has many uses regarding adhesive needs. For example, I used it in conjunction with dry wall tape to reinforce the Lexan body of my son's RC off-road buggy. I will be using 'Shoe Goo' again (more RC projects!) and would readily recommend it.Read full review

Good for repairing (building-up) worn trainer & trekking shoe soles.

I bought this (black version) to repair (build-up) worn heel areas on the soles of my trainers and trekking shoes - having last purchased Shoe Goo from a shop in Glasgow well over 20 years ago. I have only tried it on one heel so far- and it appears to be fairly hard wearing. Bear in mind that there will be a loss of tread profile (hence grip) compared to new soles.Read full review
