Short Circuit 2 (DVD, 1988)

Overlooked Family movie

Movie reviews found on case jackets and in ads are usually overly generous. In the case of Short circuit 2, it stated that it is better than the original. That is not correct. It is a good, clean, entertaining movie, but it is not better than the original. Frankly, after I saw Short Circuit (1) years ago - a movie I loved, I discovered by accident that a sequel existed when I was surfing eBay. I then bought both movies and both are excellent.
I'm happy eBay allows product reviews. I watch hundreds of movies in my retirement (two or three each day) and own about 1,000. I recently reviewed "Girl on A Train" on Amazon. I stated that it was a low budget, slow moving and greatly over-hyped movie. The train in question was running on RR tracks that are called CWR or continuously welded rail. There are no joints on CWR rails. Yet in the movie, the sound "click-click" that a train makes as it moves over rail joints was heard.
No rail joints means no "click clack" a fact that the writers were either ignorant about or just wanted to add the sound for effect. Shortly after my review on Amazon, I got a curt email accusing me of being spiteful and my review was not allowed. It further indicated I might not be allowed to review other products. I hope eBay does not fall into the same trap of promoting movies and disallowing a customer's honest opinions. So, thank you eBay for allowing me to state my views plainly, without the sugar coating. More Laughter and good times
