Finally DC's era of mystery comics recieves recognition

I discovered comic books as a boy in the mid 1970s, and at that time, the mystery genre dominated the comic book industry. It seems in recent years people have forgotten about this- but FINALLY DC has reissued some 'House of Mystery stories in the special 'Showcase Presents' TPB format.
'Showcase Presents HOM Volume 1' started off with HOM # 174, the issue where the comic shifted from a sci fi genre to mystery genre- and Vol. 2 picks up with issue # 195 and continues through issue # 211.House of Mystery was definately one of DC's best mystery titles, and any fan of their mystery series should welcome volume 2 of 'Showcase-The House of Mystery'.
Presented within are some great stories, featuring the talents of Berni Wrightson, Alex toth, Alfredo Alacala, Gerry Talaoc, and many others...Let's hope DC will choose to release some of thier other mystery titles from the 1970s in this special showcase format, titles such as 'Ghosts','The Witching Hour', 'Weird war Tales', 'Weird Mystery Tales, 'Unexpected' and 'The House of Secrets'.
Even though the stories here are in black and white, they still carry a punch and often with unexpected endings. Highly recomended!
