Impressive Performance

Unbeatable ValueI recently purchased the Sigma 18-35mm lens from CC Safety, and I must say it has exceeded my expectations. The build quality is robust, and the lens feels substantial in hand.Optically, the Sigma 18-35mm is a gem. The constant f/1.8 aperture throughout the zoom range delivers stunningly sharp images with beautiful bokeh. The lens performs exceptionally well in low light conditions, capturing details with remarkable clarity. The autofocus is snappy and accurate, making it versatile for various shooting situations. What truly sets this lens apart is its unique focal length range. The 18-35mm allows for both wide-angle and standard zoom capabilities, making it a go-to choice for a variety of photographic styles. Whether shooting landscapes, portraits, or street photography, this lens delivers consistently excellent results.I appreciate CC Safety's prompt and secure delivery, ensuring my purchase arrived in pristine condition. The lens came well-packaged with all the necessary accessories. The pricing at CC Safety was competitive, offering great value for such a high-performance lens.In conclusion, the Sigma 18-35mm is a fantastic addition to any photographer's kit, and CC Safety provided a seamless buying experience. I highly recommend both the lens and the retailer for photographers looking for exceptional quality without breaking the bank.Read full review...

Fantastic image quality

This is the sharpest zoom lens you can get for EF-S cameras. It's on a par with prime lenses. The f1.8 aperture means you can use lower iso in low light. It doesn't have image stabilisation - you don't need it on this focul length. It's quite big and heavy, but feels well balanced. The one weak point is the autofocus can be slightly out now and again - you only notice it if you zoom in.
The only lens that comes near for detail and sharpness is the Canon 17-55mm which also gives a bit longer zoom. It's a personal choice, but I prefer this one.

Great Lens

Good

This is the sharpest lens I have ever used, its like having 3 or 4 f1.8 prime lens in your bag
Build is brilliant
Very fast and accurate
At £395 this is great Value

Not So Good

its heavy
Only really for crop censor cameras (although it will work in cropped sensor mode if the full frame camera has it)
Back focus/front focus, but correctable with the Sigma Dock

Bad

Nothing

Modern, fine quality optics in a well made if quite large and hefty lens

This lens has a high quality feel to it and quietly gets on with supporting my image making in both visible and invisible light. I don't find its size or weight a problem but there can be focus accuracy issues. This seems only to affect my older digital Nikon cameras which have been converted to infrared and mid market models such as the D5200. The D500, so far, has not had these issues. I am a believer in the value of "good glass" even on modest cameras: However, I feel this lens merits a decent, modern camera to get the most out of it. There is an amazing quality to shots taken "wide open" and also decent subject separation which is why I chose it. Low light work is simplified. Shame it only covers APS sensor sizes (unless you like a very heavy vignette when using full frame or cropping. No weather sealing. I shall try this lens on my Sigma dock to see if focus issues can be addressed.Read full review...

like cat's eyes in the dark

LOVE this lense. Extremely sharp, no grain in the dark for films. And so cheap. The focus is the exact opposite of Nikor lenses which is a bit difficult to adapt to at first but overall a fab lense.

incredibly sharp image and top quality!

Most awesome wide angle lens out there. Top of the list DXO mark for sharpness and very little distortion at all. Feels incredibly solid and well built and the rings are smooth and quality. Highly recommended, it really is worth spending the extra money on a top lens.Read full review...

Lovely lens.

Beautiful lens, pin sharp images. You'll need the USB dock to fine tune the autofocus though ( and it's quite an involved task, some of my focus point were way out ) but once it's done the autofocus is bang on and it just takes amazingly vivid pictures. Well worth the outlay IMO.Read full review...
