Amazing value for money and super sharp

Great for everyday use as it's a 45mm equivalent on an APSC sensor, and doesn't look out of place on a smaller body.
+ The lens is nice and fast, and still produces quite sharp images wide open
+ stopped down to f2.8 images are really sharp across the frame
- autofocus can hunt a bit in low light situations

This lens is very sharp. A massive step up from the 16-50 kit lens. Very well built. Smooth focus ring. The 1.4 aperture lets in so much more light than the kit lens. It focuses as quickly as the native Sony lens. The colours are excellent. Sigma have totally changed the game for Sony shooters. At this price I really don’t have anything bad to say about this lens.
