Silicon Valley: the Complete First Season (Blu-ray, 2014)

Worth it for the commentaries alone!

If you haven't seen the show, it's brilliant and hilarious, based on Mike Judge's experiences in the tech industry. The cast is uniformly excellent, especially the late Christopher Evan Welch. HBO did a decent job on the Blu-Ray set, it looks and sounds as good as you'd expect. Best thing is the commentaries for each episode, Judge and the cast seem to be having a great time doing them and they're very entertaining. The other extras are a couple of fluff promo pieces you've probably seen if you have HBO. More extras would have been nice, but all in all, if you're a fan of the show or curious about it it's worth getting.Read full review
