Works reasonably well, but it can't do the impossible.

My new bike needed a first clean after six months of mainly dry spring/summer usage, but had still got spattered by the odd rain shower, puddles & tar marks, so I've only used this once on a not particularly dirty bike. The spray came out like a foam that quickly turned liquid. After two applications, I'd used half a litre of the stuff, so it dosen't seem particularly economical. After rinsing, it appeared to have shifted most of the light grime, but not the heavier soiled areas, like the front of the engine - that required more applications & agitation with a soft brush to make any impression. So don't expect a miracle cleaner - it's supposed to be gentle on all surfaces. This was my initial impression - perhaps I'll grow to love it, but in the meantime (ignore the YES answers), would I recommend it? Not necessarily. Is it good value? Doubtful. Is it good Quality? Very Dissappointing

I bought this cleaner after reading some gleaming reviews about its performance. However, on use i found it to be no better than any other proprietory motorcycle cleaner and not as good as some it proports to be better than by cheekily using a rivals product name in their discription. It does clean but nowhere near as good as it claims and after applying, agitating where necessary, rinsing off and leaving to dry as per instructions, I found, aside from the usual water marks, it leaves a residue which is not what you expect from a cleaning product like this! I had to wash all the bodywork again to get rid of this residue so I will not be using it again. Despite the brand name I was very disappointed. They should stick to producing lubricants.Read full review

Silkolene Squeaky Clean?

This spray on and wash off bottle does the job with a little bit of elbow grease, you leave it to sit there for around 5-10 minutes to let it penetrate the dirt ( you may need to agitate more soiled areas) and then rinse it off.
The cleaner in most cases needs to be re applied sadly, but otherwise for its price it is a good cleaner and because it is a spray bottle it can get to places that a soapy sponge cannot get to and it does seem to eat the dirt and grease well.
The chemical is friendly to practically every surface so there is no worry of it corroding and eating more sensitive parts of your bike so feel free to spray away without worrying too much.
Overall it is a competitive spray on cleaner and the price for 1 litre is quite reasonable, it is worth a try.Read full review
