good sturdy tool, facilitates time saving gardening
easy to use on smaller jobs, good for people who have poor hand movement.

Just the job.
Wanted a small soil 'disturber' for tubs and planters. I already have the 'big brother' to this which replaces a garden fork for many tasks, and I find it invaluable. I thought that this 'baby brother' looked a bit lightweight in the photo, but was surprised by how substantial it is in reality. Some of the tubs have quite compacted soil (big shrubs, soil undisturbed for a couple of years) but this was just the job, gets under the low foliage and loosens the soil without damaging the roots. It's also good for borders close to paths and lawns, especially under shrubs and amongst clumps of perennials/bulbs etc. The bright green handle means I can always find it either in the shed or garden. Title to remain as is.
The angle of the handle was too great and did not allow me to apply a sufficient turning force. The handle material was not strong enough since I was able to bend it to my preferred working angle. Read full review...

Not a balanced tool
It's difficult to know which way round you're supposed to have this tool to use it. It doesn't feel correct or balanced either way and is the wrong shape to use effectively.
