quality ok but feels ungainly

This tool is ok for tall nettles (which i wanted it for), but the balance is wrong and it feels ungainly when using as it is a one handed tool. I do not feel i could cut grass with this as i do not have the control over blade that I have with a short sycle.Read full review...

Not had a chance to use it yet but looks and feels good quality, my only issue is that the blade, if you have cutting edge at the top, would be for left handed user. Have put on upside down, try it and see.

Its not even sharp

A scythe should be sharp but this is blunter than a butter knife. I thought £20 was a good price, but sadly it serves no purpose eBay should remove this item as it is not fit for purpose.

A handy addition but did have to get son to sharpen it . Now it cuts great.

Not up to the job

Hating angle is wrong

This scythette is made so that it chops rather than slices. That means it works for stiff weeds but won't cut grass. The "Hafting angle" between snath and blade is around 120 degrees, whereas it should be just under 90 to slice like a scythe.Read full review...
