I wanted a new one of these and most have rather frilly cast cross pieces and wooden bars which were not a suitable look for the room. This is much more appropriate simple white style and seems reasonably well made The cross pieces are plastic moulded and seem pretty solid, the steel poles have a nice ribbed pvc coating - they can be cut to length and end caps are provided loose to push on after cutting. . The line supplied is a little thin to pull with my hands but that was easy to solve and I am sure it has the strength although I wanted something easier to grip. It also came with two little pulley wheels to mount on the ceiling and a small plastic cleat. So that I could use the supplied pulleys I ran the original thin line up to them and then attached a thicker line and led that down to where I pull it - in my case, because I was attaching to a sloped ceiling, I have had to add other pulleys to guide the line to the right places.Read full review

Lightweight but flimsy fittings

I like the product itself, as it is lightweight but strong, as well as attractive-looking. However the fittings that come with it are too lightweight to hold heavy washing so we are replacing them.

Silverstyle Airer

I first had one of these dryers some 20/30 years ago and it worked well and lasted until I moved home.
So I know the benefits of the product. The hanging bars stay in place (unlike wood ones) and it's modern simplicity looks good in my laundry room.
I cut this one down to 5 foot as I have a smaller laundry room than previously. Very easy.
I hope it will last like as before.

Great airer for modern spaces and lighter loads

Only white airer that I could find but was great for my needs. Cut rods easily to fit a specific space. Cord/pulley system not as industrial models (cord strong but thin) so suits my needs ie: cotton shirts, sports kit, socks underwear etc but might hurt hands/not cope if loaded up with jeans and track suits.
Not being an expert on threading pulleys, the diagram wasn't sufficiently clear for my beginner needs so researched on You Tube!Read full review
