Good game taking into account sound, graphics, planning, etc.

I got the Sims Medieval from online through ORIGIN which is an Electronics Art company if I am not mistaken. It takes 8 hours or less at 3MB/s speed. Being frugal as a lifestyle, you only have enough money on a disability budget. I just want to send a thank you out to all the people who make it possible for me to enjoy life. I know I do not make the best decisions in my life; For instance, I bought a computer that I totally enjoy except it costs much money. The computer discs costs more than the computer itself. [LOL - well almost LOL] I give credit to my God who allowed me to somehow live this long. It is just a miracle that my God continued my ancestors through the ages so that countless generations have passed. Well, back to the game. In this game you get to be the one guiding the pixels. You get to create their characters from their physical traits to their clothing. One thing I have to caution you is that you should only get the online version if you know it could work offline. I mean what if the servers went off line? So it is better to always get the disc version as long as it fits your system. There is a patch out for the online version to fix certain things. I do not really know what they are, however, it is now working fine. The game seems to be based in a way on how God guides us. I think it is based on The Holy Bible. The narrations are pretty entertaining. So far, I like the MacBook Pro (early 2011) version compared to the PC version. Maybe it is because the PC version lags since the computer is 10 years old. You need a relatively powerful computer to run this game. Please check to see that you meet the minimum system requirements before purchasing. It seems fun to play and the characters are somewhat silly looking. However, it is rated for Teens and up. I guess it is a little complicated and somewhat of a grown up tale in there. You do have grown up stuffs to do like build your city from the grown-up so it is no easy task for a dummy like me. I actually started the game maybe 8 times so far trying to get through the introduction. hehe If Jesus Christ was here, I believe he would approve of this game for the entire family. However, they would have to sit all together and "chip" into the game. The sounds are vibrant and entertaining to me. I believe the producer of the game put in a great amount of time, attention, and detail. I believe this game might be hard at first from experience so far, however, it seems to grow on you.Read full review...

Overall a fun game to play.

I really like this game. I like how you play on a story line, but the only thing is that this game is not as "Free play" as the other Sims games. The graphics are good as well. Another thing that disappointed me was that the Sims aren't in an actual neighborhood. The "neighborhood" is just a picture and you click the icon if you want to visit the castle and you can not see the whole castle. You only see one room at a time. Other than that the game is pretty fun and I like how you can give each sim different weaknesses and strengths.Read full review...

Very diffrent from the sims, pretty good game.

The Sims Medieval is surprisingly pretty different from the normal sims games. You only control your sims when you pick a quest, meaning it does not have the normal free-style game play. However this also is better since you won't ever come to a point when you don't really know what to do next. If your sim is in a relationship normally you would get control of that sim as well. Though in The Sims Medieval you will still only have control of the sim currently involved in your current quest. Other then the limits of control and game play this game is very good since the game provides many different interactions, such as challenging other sims to duels or even sending them to the pit! I would recommend this game to any one who has Played The Sims and wants to mix up your game play style.Read full review...

It is alright.

It is a good game, is lacking a lot of what the Sims has to offer, but is still enjoyable

The game is too pushy. I want freedom to do what i want, not be forced to!

The game is fun, but you can't build houses or families like sims 3...I liked "edit town" on sims 3, but this doesn't allow you to control anyone but yourself. You are forced to do quests and have responsibilities. The game isn't laid back and i don't like how the quests drag on and on. There is no time to do anything YOU want to do. I was hoping this game would be sims 3 except in a different time period.
I wanted to build my own hut, get married, and have like 9 kids. I would go out to the market and visit my neighbors and pick up some food for the dinner i would prepare later. I would kiss my husband goodbye as he leaves for battle, etc. This game did not live up to my expectations and i'm very dissapointed. This game was not very cheap...so its sad that my money went to waste. Stick to sims 3...its just better!

Great game!

Love this game! I love the feel of it and how they designed the characters and the world. I bought this game after playing it at a friends house when she recommended it and I am glad I did! This game is totally different from anything sims has done before. You have the basics, like designing your character and buying furniture etc., but the addition of quests really takes it over the top! Its fun to play and a great concept!Read full review...

Liked the Sims 2 for PC better.

Game runs good. I just like the Sims 2 for PC better. I don't like how you Have to be on a mission to play the game. And I can't place every building in my kingdom bc my laptop can't handle it, yet it handles every Sims 2 game fine. Overall it's ok.Read full review...
