The machine was as advertised. It runs smoothly and makes a nice stitch. It shows some age...plastic parts have yellowed with age...but no major scratches or missing parts. It has obviously been serviced, cleaned and adjusted for the best stitch. It sews over heavy seams without skipping a stitch. It sews much better than the newer Singer it replaced. I had owned the same model many years ago and remembered how much simpler it was to use and how much smoother it sewed. Poor quality not a working product and the insurance is worthless it will not correct the problem
