excellent radio

what can you say? portable Sirius satellite radio, internal memory for your mp3s, plus the ability to add up to 8gb for mp3 storage...records up to 6 hours of programming, plus it records if you're listening to music so you can listen to it later. It can receive Best of XM so you get NHL and MLB games...important to me since I don't live in viewing area of my favorite teams. Battery life is surprisingly good over 5 hours of listening to recorded programming...plenty for the train ride to and from work. It's ability to receive live satellite broadcasting is good, but is improved with the addition of the headset antenna. If you don't use the headset, you receive terrestrial repeaters, and if you don't have line of site, reception is iffy...but picks up just fine in NYC.

it also gets wifi reception in coffee houses, bookstores, anywhere you can get wifi...also allows you to put in your password if you have one.

overall i would rate this a 95 out of 100, if they someone comes out with a better headset antenna, it would be a 100.

Stiletto 2

If you purchase the Stiletto 2, it is mandatory that you, not only purchase the car kit, but also the home kit as well, and here is the reason why. You cannot use the antenna headphones and the power cord at the same time. Which wouldn't be a big deal, except the battery will only last for less than five hours if you want to listen to satellite radio, the home/car kit circumvent this design flaw.

The MP3 fuctionality of the Stiletto 2 is good for storing about a 100 of your favorite songs. If you want to store more music, you will need to purchase a microSD card, I have, but I cannot get the device to recognized that a card has been installed. So if you think the Stiletto 2 will get replace your iPod/MP3 player, it won't.

Once you have purchased the Stiletto, home kit, car kit and optional mircoSD card, you'll enjoy the content of the music channels on Sirius radio.

This is a Great Portable Sat Radio From Sirius

The Sirius Stiletto 2 portable satellite radio is a break through for Sirius XM. This unit is medium in size but big on features. First it sports an easy to use toggle wheel for controls. The LCD is a nice size screen and easy to read in any light. The best part of the Stiletto 2 is the Wi-Fi feature. If you are out of range of the satellites, you can listen to Sirius.com via wi-fi on the Stiletto 2.
Also, the recording features of the Stiletto 2 are easy to figure out and use.

The draw back to this item is the poor satellite reception of the item when portable. It must see a clear sky. Any obstructions will cause spotty at best reception.

stiletto 2

I bought this because my Kenwood here2anywhere was breaking down and needed replacement. The stiletto 2 seemed to have desirable features such as a pause button, recordable programing, increased mobility and flexibility as a portable mp3 player. I am still getting used to functions that are somewhat confusing, my main criticism of the unit. The thing I find most confusing is the unavailability of the product at the Sirius web site. Is there some problem with it?Read full review...

Stiletto 2 Review

This a great product when it works. I noticed early on that it was very hot when it was on, not good for electronics. The first disappointment came when it quit working after only 1yr 10mo. Music players should be good for several years. The Sirius download repair was useless as it only lasted maybe an hour and then you would have to do it again. It never lasted. That was the next disappointment. The final disappointment was that they no longer make it and I had stupidly bought the lifetime for it, along with two Stiletto 2 SLBB2 Universal Boomboxes and both the home and car docks. So I had a big outlay that was saved only by the fact that ebay has a bunch for sale. If I had it to do over, knowing what I know now, I absolutely would not have bought a Stiletto 2. No Way!! And needless to say, "Customer NO-Service" was no help. By the way, the SLBB2 Universal Boombox isn't 'universal' at all. Only works with the Stiletto 2.Read full review...

Great quality item!

Compact, durable, with good reception. Works especially good with the extender antenna. Battery holds a good charge. Many features which enhance the product in so many ways. Unfortunately the wireless internet feature is no longer supported, but it's still great for a portable satellite radio receiver.Read full review...

Good product with one problem

The only issue I had with this product is that the battery inside the Stiletto would not hold a charge. I had to purchase a battery separately which increased the total price by $20. Had I known about the battery problem I would not have offered as much as I did. Read full review...

Sirius SL2PK1 Satellite Radio Receiver

I do love this radio. It's one of the best Sirius units available. Unfortunately, it's been discontinued. :(

Pros: Internal memory to record up to 100 hours of programming, WiFi, and portability.

Cons: Not very durable (typical sirius product). Gets incredibly hot, especially in a vehicle. Battery goes bad fairly quickly (from the heat I assume). These units are also subject to memory issues.

I compare these to a spouse. You love them in spite of their flaws.

SL2PK1 Satellite Radio Receiver

Great product overall. I love the fact that it is portable and you can pick up reception either via satellite or internet. Very compact item; also can use it in the car with a docking station. The only drawback is the headset that comes with it for satellite reception outside. The headset is a little bulky and a bit uncomfortable. However if you are indoors you can just pick up a wi-fi signal and use your regular earbuds. An additional benefit is that you can record and save music, shows for later listening or download your favorite songs for storage when you are in places that you can't get a signal.Read full review...

Sirius Radio

I purchased this new at half the price of my original. I'm disappointed that this model has been discontinued. I use it daily - it's the only thing that helps me through the work day.
First thing in the morning, I listen to CNN to get my news. At 9 I listen to Howard Stern West Coast Feed to get the whole show. In the afternoons I listen to the great range of music as well as the Jay Thomas show.
Sirius has anything you'd want to hear in the way of music and talk radio.
