Great Antenna for the money .. Well Built .. Good Results ..

I have used BOTH A 99 and Imax .. Both are reasonably decent antennas for the money .. Will not in my OPINION do as well as a metal antenna but still do the job ... Good skip antenna and stays in the air great without any adverse weather cond ... I recommend either A 99 or Imax ... I have never had any issues with SWR .. Decent ears and will last for years without any major worry ... I would not hesitate to buy another one !!! Read full review

not quite suited to australian conditions. needs a coat of clear to stop fibreglass from stranding.
performance on cb band excellant. top section a bit soft, not strong enough to stop birds breaking it. slide a fibreglass blank fishing rod over it and its bulletproof. excellent performance as an antenna.Read full review

No Doubt About It!

Had a Proton PT99 prior and locally there isn't a huge difference. Only had a slight db increase with the locals. This thing really shines when the DX is rolling in. Hearing and talking to people I've never spoken with before all over the map. Great Buy, great price, easy setup.Read full review

Great omnidirectional antenna with good db gain, Can withStand 5000 Watts output can be mounted in a multitude of ways,I like The built-in bracket that will allow you to mount it to the side of your house, garage or even a deck post. Can withstand around 90 mph winds according to the to what I have read I have personally experienced that it with stands 60 mph plus winds With no problem. So to sum it up great receive, great transmit, great standing wave, great durability, I am using One that I bought over eight years ago and it still works fine I bought this one as a spare just in case, it’s always good to have a back up. Excellent antenna construction and light weight. It is too short for 11 meters band. Channel one- 2 and 1.8. plus SWR reading on channel 40, the tuning ring is max. Over all is usable.
