Some Kind Of Wonderful

Was a movie I saw when I was at school back in the 80's its just one of those movies I liked & I've been purchasing those movies I used ot have on video now on DVD....

This is my favourite film of all time, a real feel good movie, only had it on video so needed the DVD.

Pretty In Pink reversed...

Some Kind of Wonderful can be criticised for having the same basic premise as Hughes and Deutch's previous film, Pretty in Pink: A quiet blue-collar high-schooler with aspirations of upward mobility (Eric Stoltz here and Molly Ringwald in Pretty in Pink) becomes infatuated with a "popular" classmate (Lea Thompson and Andrew McCarthy), while remaining oblivious to the attraction to them felt by their close friend of the opposite sex (Mary Stuart Masterson and Jon Cryer) and avoiding the attention of a spiteful and petty "rich kid" with a connection to the love interest (Craig Sheffer and James Spader). However, if you enjoyed Pretty In Pink (which I did) then you'll love this. Like its predecesor there's a great soundtrack, comedic moments and a happy ending.Read full review...

This film is great! I love it! I first saw this film when i met my boyfriend - now husband and it is such a great story about a boy and a girl who are best friends. Secretly the girl is in love with the boy but he doesnt know! He falls for a posh girl at school and with his best friends help, takes her out on a date. What the boy doesnt realize is that his best friend wishes it was her. Great film. Great actors. Great story. Great music.Read full review...
