Good all-in-one

As a beginner after looking through a few YouTube videos I found the camera relatively easy to use. Great picture quality and easily exported to phone to upload. Nice weight, feels comfortable in your hands. The lense works perfectly with this camera. Together they are worlds away from my camera phone which is what I had been using. I got a few batteries with the bundle but have found I have not needed to change too often except for 4k video. Just remember to turn off when not using it. Touch screen is useful and camera auto switches between touch screen and viewfinder when it detects something near the viewfinder which is handy but took a little while to get used to.Read full review

Good Camera - complex menus

Great little camera that can accept both APS-C and Full Frame Sony e-mount lenses. In built stabilization makes it possible to use many other manual focusing lenses using adaptors.

Good ISO range with good image quality even at the higher settings.

Menu is complex (Would not recommend for casual users). Everything you need is in there somewhere. You can configure buttons and the function menu to access your most used menu items.

Grip is just right with most buttons easy to reach - however I would have liked another control wheel. Batteries do not last long so you need spares, these are cheap to find on Ebay.

A6500 used bargain.

The Sony a6500 camera has all the features that I need on a camera. It is small and compact especially when paired with a small prime lens. The stabilisation helps with low light shots. I only use a camera for single photos not video. Second hand from Ebay they are a real bargain, why pay £1000 more for latest model. Very pleased. Read full review

A great choice even in 2021

As a second-hand camera they make a fantastic choice for any photographer or videographer enthusiast, as they are now more affordable.
The better grip and extra weight provides a better balance to the lens/camera setup and the 5-axis stabilisation provides great in the hand stability providing a highly portable professional camera for everyday use.
Compared to my previous Sony A6000 which was very good, this camera is excellent providing even better SOOC shooting, which as always been my aim.

A worthy upgrade

I bought the a6500 to replace an ageing a6000. Originally priced at £1500 new, second hand prices make the a6500 a very desirable purchase, especially as it has image stabilisation. Another difference to the a6000 is the screen menu which is an improvement as is the overall more robust feel to the camera. The hinged lid for battery and memory card is reassuring thicker and gripping the camera to take a shot is more comfortable.

An initial concern was how much effort it was to turn my existing lenses into position when attaching them; a bit of Googling revealed this is a known issue, but not a fault. Some comments cited the issue as a blessing as far as dust invasion was concerned.

I particularly wanted the a6500 to use with a 10-18mm f4 lens. The results have been very pleasing.

Best value for money all around compact camera.

One of the best mirrorless cameras you can get. Image quality is awesome and there are plenty of lenses to choose from and get the best out of this beast. Very few differences between A6500 model and the newer one A6600 and you can buy an A6500 much cheaper nowdays.Read full review

Sony A6000

I have previously owned 2 A6000 and 1 A6300 it is a definite improvement over those but the main thing for me was the in camera stabilisation using Sigma lenses it’s a necessity.

Great little camera.

Great crop sensor camera from Sony. I have owned the a6000, a7ii, a7Rii and now the a7riii. I bought this as a second body to the Riii and it's great.

All taken with a Sony

Hits that spot between A6600 and the 6400 nicely with most of the things you desire included and very capable.
