Love this camera!

This is the 3rd one of these I’ve owned. For me, the amphibious nature of it is the best part. I’ve owned several other waterproof cameras, but this is the only one that takes high quality photos. The first one I purchased was a newer model and the door spring broke. Unfortunately before I could get it repaired, it was stolen. I am roughy in cameras. I take them everywhere and used them a lot. I’d been swimming, hiking, etc., with that camera for years. The 2nd one I purchased, again a newer model than this one, just stopped working. I had it for 6 years and easily took 15,000+ photos with it. It just went dark one day while on vacation. I spent hundreds of ours with these cameras on my wrist while floating, swimming, and snorkeling in the water. I love my Sony DSC-TX10 black camara, my best traveling companion

I bought the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX10 Camara because i lost my previous one (sony dsc-t77). I did spent a few weeks researching cameras. Anytime I make a purchase a make sure to do my homework and go into a store like Best Buy or Sears to actually play with the camera for a bit. I was looking for something with a high megapixel quality, at least 4 optical zoom, HD video capability, waterproof!!!, and compact. After looking at several other brands this was head and shoulders above the rest. It not only takes fantastic pictures but the photos I took underwater look like they should be on a postcard.

LIKE:
1) The TX10 shines in low-light still photography, it eliminates most of the noise even at ISO 800.
2) They have the camara in black color, my favorite
3) It is water resistant, i love my under water photos they are beautiful
4) It's High Definition 1080p video is pretty good compared to other digital cameras in this price range.
5) Zooming while videotaping is possible. Most consumer digital cameras can't zoom while in video mode.
6) Surprisingly good wide-angle (you don't need a wide-angle adapter)
7) The panorama mode is cute and effective but not very high quality (noise is introduced due to panorama cropping).
8) Excellent flash coverage.
9) Choice of MPEG or AVCHD recording. MPEG is the best choice for compatibility and editing but it takes more space in your memory card. AVCHD is a pain to edit compared to MPEG.

DISLIKE:
1) is a little slow during the on/off
2) the battery is short when using the video option, i need to buy extra battery for my tours
3) Audio seems muffled compared to T77. I believe this is due to the water proof material that encapsulates the microphones, but there is a noticeable degradation compared to the T77

Awesome little camera

Thanks for a great little Sony camera. My sister and I are very happy with our recent purchase. It is in GREAT working condition, and came with charger, card & bag / case. Very nice cony cybershot. I have owned these in the past, and although the battery door will break over time (making it unusable for underwater shots) it still remains one of my favorite cameras, even over the NIKON coolpix P900.Read full review...

Excellent point & shoot camera !

I bought one of this camera when it came out as the new model two years ago. Unfortunately, I lost it after just having owned it for three months. I liked it a lot to have decided to buy another one. This time, I bought a slightly used one through eBay. It is a perfect companion to my Canon EOS60D DSLR when I travel. I use it for it's panorama feature, video recording and mostly when it is not convenient or necessary to use the bulky Canon. It takes amazingly beautiful pictures, it is waterproof & shockproof, it is pocket sized and has the least amount of shutter lag amongst the point & shoot that I have tried. If there is a flaw in this camera, it is the fact that it could be quite hard to read the digital display icons on a bright sunny day. The touchscreen may also be temperamental at times. However, I consider this as minor inconveniences. They become less of an annoyance once you get familiar with the menus and learn a few tricks to circumvent this cumbersome process.

I also bought the newer TX20 model for my wife. She takes more useable and excellent photos with this one than her previous bulkier point & shoot camera. Now I have more photos of myself from our travels. :)Read full review...

Excellent picture and HD video quality as a waterproof camera

Excellent picture and video quality, very rich features set, and, water-proof as advertised. The only issue with this camera is the lens location which sometimes may be blocked by user's finger unexpectedly. You may see your finger in the upper left corner in some videos or pictures if you are not careful when taking the photo/video.Read full review...

Great upgrade from my Kodak camera

As far as I can tell this camera does a wonderful job at taking pictures but I am also upgrading from a Kodak that was a lot lower MP quality. I am just waiting to get into the water and taking some pictures. As far as everything I know with this camera I would recommend it to anyone really. The screen protectors are a life saver if you ask me. The display on the back has its Pros and Cons to it. The one thing I do not like really is that I have bigger fingers and well sometimes I tend to push more then the desired one I am going for. Great buy on a "like new" Sony camera.

Camera is in perfect condition. Essentially brand new. This is my second DSC-TX10, and the first lasted for years. It was used almost daily.

great camera.picture quality is everything I expected it to be. There are a lot of features that this camera has to offer. The only thing that I didn't really like was that the touch screen doesn't always pick up your touch right away.
