I purchased this camera as a replacement for a similar Sony DVD camcorder which had lasted me many years. I use it during training sessions when it's important to have something that plays back through a computer really quickly. DVD is better for this because it loads up and plays straight away. I have used the camera twice and it's fine. I am simply hoping that it lasts for a year or so. great piece of equipment.

I use these sony dvd camcorders for paranormal investigations due to the super nightshot plus infared on them which helps in realy dark places. I find them great.

Very good value, good quality product.

Plus points are: size, weight quality of picture and sound. Night shot works very well though very limited range without additional IR illumination.
Minus points for DVD recording. The recording capacity is very low and its a bit of a pain to use. Digital memory media of any description would be much better. However some people may find recording directly to a dvd then playing on a dvd player to be an advantage.Read full review...

Da bizniss once again, this is the rolls royce of camcorders lol, night vision is awesome much better than on my samsung, and your lucky to get it on newer camcorders, the lcd screen is touch took me a while to figure that out lol didnt know how to access menu haha, buy this you will not be disappointed!Read full review...

No editing facility - cannot upload to PC

Good camera if you don't need to edit or upload on to your PC. Otherwise, a total waste of money.
