OK, these might not be absolutely professional quality, but holy cow are they versatile. Let me start with the biggest surprise of all, the connectivity between them is superb. I recorded my audio through a stucco wall perfectly, I was not expecting that. That means you really can put the microphone completely out of sight, even hiding it if for some reason it needs to be in frame. Then again, you could just put it in the included windsock, and it would not be conspicuous at all.
Here are the great things I have already noticed and conceptualized. You can use this mic in conjunction with your boom mic for a scene involving say an exterior and interior conversation between two parties. Say I am filming a couple walking into a building talking, using my shotgun mic, then use the wireless on the salesperson who greets them. I actually bought an XLR adapter so that it can plug right in and then I can mix it with a second channel.

A lapel mic will plug into the mic port on it, so you can use it as a lavalier, but it is also fine to just place it near the source as it has a nice sensitivity level. They are also two way radios and even a one way while recording. The way it works is that the headphone jack becomes the audio port on the receiver when you plug it into the camera input. You could even use your phone as a video recorder, you might need a little splitter cable for about $7. As a director, it is very useful to have an actor use an earpiece, direct them and then have them remove the earpiece leaving the audio just the way it was. This is a very innovative concept and I am very happy with the price point.
