Did not know cameras took floppy's until a browse on YouTube. That would have been that until the great offer from E-bay. While the controls are not as fluent like today's cameras, the handling is good. Pictures while not HD, are very acceptable. If one does not like swapping floppy disks,
the unit also accepts Sony Memory Sticks. With 2.0 Mega Pixels plus a 6x zoom, this camera had to be a marvel in it's day.Read full review...

Flawed, earlier models had better lens’.

This was the last camera in the Mavica FD Series and Sony fitted an inferior lens and dropped the audio facility of previous models. A better choice, although only 1.6 Mega Pixels, would be the FD92 or the FD90 which lacked the Memory Stick slot but had a manual focus option.Read full review...

Very easy to use and robust camera with excellent Macro performance and easy focusing makes it an ideal daily use camera for anyone needing to add content to websites or who sells on Ebay. If you don't mind the bulkiness, the camera is great for holidays and trips but it is well worth getting used to the different settings to unleash the full potential. The quality of the camera belies the 2 Megapixel (better than several supposedly 5 Megapixel cameras I use). which is More than adequate for 90% of applications unless you want to produce massive posters from your digital pictures. Battery performance is exceptional and recharging is quick, the camera pays for itself in months when compared with those using alkaline cells and extra batteries and chargers are also readily available on Ebay.Read full review...

excellent camera working no problem in axtreme conditions from
up to+45*C to -35*C, it is a bit chunky but for ever good.
with great fine lens of good quality and zoom as well. Not
alot of megapixels ! 2 only ! but the image is better than
most of pocket cameras with up to 7 mega pixels. the resolution
is great even the size of the file max 800KB
Not good for enlargements of the fotos but for the actual price
