Great tone and range balance
I bought these for another person, but, that said: Back when my hearing was still pretty good, and I am fortunate to have a very discerning brain, I compared quite a few different earbuds to the Sony. I thought they were notably better and more balanced across the pitch spectrum, than anything else - certainly way preferable to the Apple ones I bought at the time when I got my iPad mini II. Some buds were awful! These were stock in my Walgreen, about $13 and SO worth it. I carried spares in a mint tin, too. I am assuming that with the same product number, these new ones are of the same quality.

"Dull" sounding
Expected better sound quality from these earbuds based on the positive reviews. The earbuds are comfortable enough and fit well. They seem to be of adequate quality. My only complaint would be the sound quality. The earbuds sound 'dead' or 'dull'. They lack the crisp highs and mid-range which my skullcandy earbuds have. Oh well. The price was good and I am sure these will make a good spare 'back-up' pair. Now to find some which actually sound good.Read full review

Excellent value
I know that wired earbuds are not what some people want, but I find them easier to use than bluetooth . I'd rather just plug them in and control the volume from the device that I am using. These Sony earbuds sound great and are what I have been using for years. Read full review
