I worked in radio for many years and these headphones weren't always treated the best going from studio to studio and they held up. Versatile, and excellent clarity of sound

First, instant impression was "WOW, I didn't realize the clarity and fullness of sound I was missing compared to the set (mid-range $ Phillips) I was using. I had a pair of these Sony's, years ago, that my wife sold on eBay, because she thought I wasn't using them. I used to use them extensively for dubbing/recording from one medium to another. I really liked the ability to fold up one side and listen with one ear. Now, I am using them to play electric guitar and I can fold-up one side to hear myself singing along They stay on my head in either position very comfortably and securely. Read full review

good headphones

i bought these after sending back the Sennheisers.i chose between the Sennheiser 280 PRO and the Audio Technica ATH MX40..all were $99.. though they all sounded good, the Sonys had crisp highs.. the others were too bass heavy and sounded muffled. too bad as i liked the construction of the others, especially the removable ( and straight) cord on the A/Ts..but in the end, it's the sound that counts. The Sonys have been used in studios for years, because they accurately re-produce the music. I use them in my home studio, and they are great! Read full review

The only headphones I buy…

I’ve been using the Sony 7506’s for decades. Consumer headphones boost and cut various frequencies to make them sound “good”, but pro headphones should be “neutral” to accurately represent what’s actually there. The 7506’s do this well.

After sound quality, comfort is very important. Wearing headphones for extended periods can be hard if they press on your ears, or squeeze your head too hard. This is will vary from one individual to another, but these fit my head perfectly.Read full review

Best Phones I've ever used!
