Sony VCR

This Sony is a replacement VCR for us. We have lots of old VHS tapes that we enjoy watching with our grandchildren. New VCRs are quite expensive and we were relieved to find such a nice replacement. perhaps we should have expected less, this replaced another sony vcr, but the picture quality is much more grainy than the one it replaced. Possibly head cleaning will help.

Let the show begin.

The VCR works properly in the resolution it was designed for. Even though it is new, it has not been activated since it was packaged originally. So, the mechanisms were a little slow to completely engage. The tape transport would not completely load the tape and needed a little manual assistance. But, once I assisted it, it loaded correctly and played the tape correctly with good picture and sound. I will be using this a lot in the near future. If it continues to perform as it has been, I will be completely satisfied.Read full review

Great VHS Video Machine - Sony

VHS will NEVER die!

Great VHS player. Why the VHS and player was axed is beyond me, but there is something so right about throwing in a VHS tape and watching a flick. Call it nostalgia, or call it as some movies still haven’t made it over to the digital medium.
