HDMI board and bluetooth defective

I purchased this item used. Upon hooking it up the hdmi output would flicker then go blank. Have tried everything recommended to fix this problem, it's obviously a bad hdmi board. I have never been able to get the Bluetooth to sync to any of my speakers. I have seen reviews on hdmi problems with this receiver, I should have paid attention to those reviews. Better than expected.

This is replacing an STR-DN1000 and at this time I am glad that my son broke HDMI OUT connection on the old one. It has better sound and is easier to set up. If you buy it getting the menu up is a little tricky, don't press the Home button but the small "GUI MODE" button. I would, without hesitation, buy this again.
I also purchased banana clips for the surround speaker connections which I think are a big help.
