Great sound but not the easiest to use.
I love the high power of this unit, the sound is awesome, I wish Sony made a unit in a double din with the same amp. I am very frustrated every time I have to select a source however as there has to be a simpler way. I'm very impressed with how it works with a usb stick, I put a stick in with a bunch of music on it but also a bunch of other files also and thought it might take a few for the unit to find the music, no problem it started playing music almost instantly. I can't seem to get the clock to display while there is a USB stick inserted however. Sony makes an app for your phone called songpal that is great when it works, just doesn't always work. Its also a pain that you cant connect 2 phones via bluetooth at the same time. If the same phone is used all the time bluetooth connection works pretty well but If you switch to another phone it takes some work to get it to connect. Love the amp and sound quality but the software needs some work.Read full review

Worked great for a week then......
Worked great for about a week then it appears the amp blew, only getting preamp signal out to the speakers. Spent hours on the phone with Sony troubleshooting to no avail, not surprising. So now I have to take it out along with all the wiring, send it back, wait for them to send me one back then reinstall what they send me....refurbished I bet. Not a happy camper. As for the unit itself when it worked.....It was great, hope the next one lasts longer then a week though!Read full review

Stereo with some extra kick!
I picked this up to replace another Sony I had in my car several years. It does have plenty of extra watts to push my JBLs. If I want I can turn it up to max and have no sound issues. The controls are a little different then some stereos. It does have a lot of extra features. Some I will not likely use. I purchased mine on sale and I do not regret it at all. Quite a punch
The radio looks and feels as though the 100 watts per channel is propaganda but it's not it has alot of features but mostly for the sub adjustments,however good speakers are required if connecting direct to wiring harness I had purchased some cheap high power pyles and the radio MOSFET amp blew one speaker out pus clarity wasn't that great until I put in some Kenwood replacements than the sound was clear and really loud,the pre adjusted equalizer setting it has really clears out the sound you seek if the CD you use is an original CD not a copy,Im happy this radio elsewhere costs over 250$ but eBay made it affordable .Read full review

Low volume for stated wattage
Thought I would upgrade to a Bluetooth radio from my old kenwood 22RMS x4. The Sony doesn't put out as much volume as my kenwood with half the stated 40RMS x4 wattage. I initially ran a 14 gauge power wire and thought that was the problem. Pulled the old wire out and ran 10 gauge. Both were direct to the battery. The only thing I can think off now is it might need lower Omn speakers but my old radio just kicked this ones behind. If I had to do it over again I would have gone with a regular stereo and added a small amp. Don't buy this stereo for extra volume. The sound quality is pretty good because of the adjustable EQ. To get the same volume as by old radio I will have to by an amp. Not to pleased with this stereo.Read full review

SO AWESOME BEST SOUND QUALITY
This is the future of high power sound in car stereos. By putting an efficient class d amplifier in the receiver, you get at least double the power of other aftermarket receivers. If you use 2 ohm speakers you get even more power and although the manual it says not to use 2 ohm speakers, on the Sony website it says that many are running 2 ohm speakers with no issues. I am running jbl gto series seperates in the front of my 95 Corolla DX and 6x9 in the rear deck, all of which are 2 ohms. Sound quality is outstanding once you get it dialed in, which does take some work. I found the clear audio+ to boost the high frequencies too much, so I disabled that as well as the mega bass as I have a powered sub taking care of the bass. I was able to fine tune the sound with the 10 band eq.Read full review
