The case showed Starlight Express CD, contents was a 4 track Reggae Disc, they did refund cash straightaway to be fair to them, but I still do not have the disc I wanted!

Quality recording, good cd but original London much better.

I bought this as I love the show having seen it in the late eighties. Have to say that this is my least favourite of all the recordings. The original London cast is much better and the orchestration lyrics and characterisation is too simplified on this cd. If you like a typical 90's synthesised sound then this is the starlight album for you. Much better to get the very first original recording or the bochum live cast recording. Controls voice is so annoying that I can't bear to listen to the races. I will however praise a couple of numbers. One is coda of freight and next time you fall in love. Overall I will still give it 3 stars as seeing the show live you've gotta have it for your collection and it has a high quality sound and will please fans that have seen newer versions of the show. I am at little biased and set in my ways and just much prefer the original show, storyline and characters.Read full review...

Having seen the show I had to buy the original.The quality is good although some tracks do have a different recording level. All the songs are on the CD which has some fantastic performances.The music is easy to listen to and has elements of comedy thanks to the lyrics of Richards Stylgo.Read full review...

one of loydd webbers greatest musicals

the songs are great you cant help but move to the music. my 3 year old cant get enough starlight and always requests it and sings along. it is a must see and hear it is a shame that they never put it on dvd, you cant get the full power of the musical till you have seen the show.Read full review...
