Econami PNP
Soundtraxx econami PNP is a great lower cost sound decoder that has many of the features that a full Tsnami but at a lower cost. It is a great choice for those who do not want all of the extra features.Read full review

Econami eco-pnp sound decoder
I installed this decoder into a Stewart F7. Installation was a breeze, and I connected a scale like 2 amp speaker to it.
The startup/shutdown was great. The sound just blew me away. It produces the sounds of an EMD 567 perfectly, and sounds just as I remember them. Airhorn selection is phenomenal as is the available bells.
This decoder is going to be my go to decoder for future projects. Read full review

Great sound decoder
The economi sound decoder is perfect for me. I only need sound in my locomotives including horn and bell. I do not need 127 different sounds like some costly decoders offer. It is a simple installation, great sound and all at a very affordable price. That is what I need.Read full review

The go to model for price and capability.
I am fairly new to DCC but I’ve already converted 6 legacy locomotives, a few with MRC DCC encoders (inexpensive, tiny and pretty good, for the price), a couple Tsunami 2 encoders (lots of features, very stable, excellent documentation and generally the best) and now a couple of these 882004 Economi models, which are apparently just the Tsunami2 without as many bells, whistles and other needless options. They are as good and reliable as the Tsunnami2 but about $20 less per locomotive. If you only have a couple locomotives, go with the Tsunami2. If you have more than that, use the Economi. If you want to learn troubleshooting, save money and buy the MRC encoders. They all work. But they are all different.Read full review

Aside from the box being full of large black ants(palmetto bugs down in the south) everything was perfect. The decoder was sealed in a separate bag so nothing in with it! It functions perfectly and sounds amazing in the SD60!Read full review
