If you need a folder you can depend on, your looking in the right place.

While s30v is not my favorite (chips to easy for a pry tool, yes I have been known to use the tool available even if its not intended for that) it does make a great blade with excellent edge retention. The Manix XL has one of the better handles out there and the ball bearing lock makes it feel like a fixed blade; while the bench made axis is easier to operate and makes deployment a hair quicker it simply is not as solid as the ball bearing. Only thing I like better then owning a Manix XL is having a 2nd so when the day comes its discontinued I have replacement for when the first wears out.

Spyderco Manix 2 XL

My favorite edc knife is the Manix 2 (any configuration). The Manix 2 XL is basically a larger version of the Manix 2 for those that like a bigger knife for heavy duty use. This knife is a beast for a folding knife. The handle allows for a safe secure grip for cutting through heavy duty materials. So, if you have situations where you need a larger knife, this knife would be a good choice. It’s hard to beat a Spyderco for quality and value. This statement is just of my opinion. Thank you. Best folder spyderco makes

I have had a bunch of knives from spyderco... this one is by far the best... I carried the endura, the delica, the resilience, and a few others over the years.... this one is the best by far!
