Stanley Multibit Ratcheting Screwdriver

If it ain't broke don't fix it!

I have been using this specific design screwdriver for a few years, and found it to be a great design.
My only concern has always been how annoyingly easy the twist top of the handle unscrews itself while using the ratchet settings.
I have added a rubber "O" ring to the base of the thread which holds it in place without ever failing.
I have tried the newer version of Stanley ratchet screwdriver and think it fails its status. hence my opinion ( If it ain't broke don't fix it )Read full review

New design not great.

This is the newly designed screwdriver, not the original. It is for Diy people who use one occasionaly, not for people who use them regularly. The biggest flaw is the handle. Although it is a good size for the hand and has good grip the storage compartment lid comes undone under pressure in the hand and causes nuisance.

Bring back the original design, it's much better. I have just lost my original driver and bought this one to replace it. Very disappointed.Read full review

Stanley STA068010 Multibit Ratchet Screwdriver

I bought this screwdriver for my partially sighted father as has a long handle & magnetic shaft, which when a bit is selected is drawn into place when offed up to the end of the shaft a great help to a person who can't see what he is doing. There is added storage in the handle but my father prefers the plastic strip that came with the driver as he can feel which bit he wants. The ratchet mechanism is easy to use to instead of a button to change direction you turn the top of the shaft left or right another great design for someone who can't see properly.
