Convenient rather than brillant.

I have had a shaver tool since Stanley first produced them many years ago and bought some new blades for a special job. I would not say that these tools are brilliant but they can be useful in certain circumstances, especially for taking off small amounts of wood where one could only use a small plane - but that needs sharpening!
