Solidly built, heavy duty gun, that does ram those pesky staples all the way home! :)
So much better than the cheapo Woolworths (yeah..do you remember them?!) plastic one i had for years...and always kept jamming and mis firing.
This one is soo much beefier, solidly made, it being metal...easy to load, easy to clear the odd one that does get jammed occasional...but most importantly...it properly fires in heavy duty staples fully in. I hardly need to use me small tap hammer anymore.
So yes...i certainly do recommend it.....and Stanleys staples too. I always try to purchase the consumables made and designed for a particular tool, even if there are other brands or makes that would do just as well. Me...i'm a stickler to using the company's own consumables..for peace of mind. And the staples are well made, heavy duty..and they nearly (just the odd one)..go all the way in!
So...um...yeah..buy it..you'll be happy with it! It does what it says it can do! :)Read full review

The good and the bad.
Its not powerful enough. Not easy to aim with. The design is nice. Roburst and well made. Uses a comon size staples same as staples hammer. I feel the old 11,3mm guns were easier to use and more effective.Read full review

Perfect
I was very surprised at how well made it is, considering the price. It is easy to use and I have just one negative comment, the handle and trigger surface should have a non slip coating as your fingers can slip down the trigger. I bought it to staple roof felt on my shed, it was so quick and easy, it took a fraction of the time it would have taken using a hammer and tacks. Really like the 2 power settings.Read full review

Simple to a-tack any problem
This was bought to replace my old jammed stapler. This Stanley unit can't be jammed with incorrect sized staples, and if you did manage to shove in too big a strip, you can easily fish them out again, something which you can't do with my old unit. Secondly, there's very little kick-back. The old unit had to be held with two hands, one to press down, the other to squeeze the trigger. This unit can be used with one hand with relative ease. It might have only been used to tack weed membrane into raised beds, but it has done so with ease. I got it from Maplin, for less than £15, which is less than my old unit, making it a bargain as well.Read full review

excellent staple gun.
ive had a few staple guns in the past but this one really does what it says it does when i first got it and the staples to go with it which were 10mm ones i tried it on my wifes butchers block which is solid 40mm thick beechwood and the staple went right in fully with no trouble so that i think is pretty dam good i then re stapled under my divan bed material and some 2mm thick plywood onto the base also with excellent results not bad for a manual staple gun ive certainly had no issues with staples only going part way in like some have said a no brainer staple gun .just buy.Read full review

More powerfull than other hand-driven staple guns
It managed to properly embed 14mm staples without having to tap the last bit in with a hammer. As far as I know, no other hand-held staple gun also offers the ability to shoot brads, although I have not tried that function since I use a pneumatic brad gun for the very long brads that I need. The clip to stow the tool when not in use is a nice touch. Allround a great product design and a useful tool that seems to be robustly built to last me many years.Read full review

Easy to use and a strong durable product.
Ideal for all uses and users, I use it on the allotment, no more silly hammer and staples. Its easy to handle and takes a variety of staples plus brads. My second one, unfortunately my first one only lasted 10 years.Read full review

Excellent quality and price
This is a really nicely and sturdily made device, with a two-position setting switch for the amount of force exerted on the staples or nails. In awkward positions you need strong fingers to squeeze the trigger - something which presumably wouldn't be a problem with an electric gun, but this is so much simpler and cheaper, and works perfectly well. Highly recommended!Read full review

Very useful tool
Very useful tool. I've used it on a few jobs over the past couple of weeks since I received it. The best thing in comparison with my previous staple gun is the ease with which staples that get jammed can be removed. The only down side is that I've subsequently discovered that I could have bought it for slightly less money from my local branch of 'ScrewFix'. Read full review

Good sturdy piece of equipment
A very solidly-made tool, as one would expect from Stanley. I used it with long staples into timber and it didn't drive them completely home, but it was usually possible to finish them off with a hammer. The power adjustment device didn't seem to make much difference. Basically, it's a useful tool and I'm happy with it.Read full review
