Well, if you're expecting Star Trek, you'll be disappointed.
This is slower particularly the first two episodes, but engaging enough to make it worth the purchase price, had I paid the full retail price I'd have been less happy.

Although the disc worked perfectly, it's contents were a disappointment, being a star trek fan I found the way the film flashbacks were used spoilt the film. I found the film poor the plot thin and is something that should never have been made.

For adolescents
This series is wel made and it ticks all the boxes for a Star Trek series. The cinematography was good.
But.... It was heavily emotion-laden and concerned adolescent angst. As such it would be ideal for teenagers but not interesting for adults.
As an OAP I watched the series through once, then bundled it off to the charity shop (and they were very pleased to get it).
