Can a starving student manage to make tasty meals with these recipes? YES!

The first edition dating from 1984 included brief notes listing the college or university where the author found each recipe. The newer 2002 cookbook doesn't credit the students in the same way. Despite that small change, the cookbook is still easy to use. Most of the recipes are made with shelf-stable ingredients. The author wrote the book for students who may not know how to boil water. Her recipes are very easy to follow. She included lists of the pots, pans, and kitchen tools needed for each recipe.Read full review

Good resource to have for those starting out.

Great book for college kids and young adults. I bought a copy for both of my kids. Covers the basics, uses few ingredients, easy instructions.
