Childhood classic!

I had forgotten all about this game over the years then remembered it when I decided to break out my old PS2 and play some games. When I realized that I didn't own this in my collection already I decided I had to have it again. For a Playstation 1 (PSX) game, the graphics were great, easy to learn and control, and arcade/campaign mode gave it more play-ability. I always loved how most of the tanks were named after snakes, I think that's what drew me to it when I was little. Going to enjoy this even more now as an adult (27 years old).Read full review...

A solid, enjoyable, underrated tank fighter.

Steel Reign is a third person shooter and was relased on the Sony PlayStation by SCEA in 1997. It chronicles the story of General Reign and his endeavor to destroy his rival, General Storm, and his army. To aid him in his vendetta, General Reign has a small fleet of prototype battle tanks at his disposal, each of which are outfitted with cannons, rocket launchers, lasers, mines, and shield generators.

The game looks impressive by the PlayStation's standards, with well-detailed terrain, tanks, and enemy installations. The controls are as fluid as could be, though players who have become adjusted to using analog control sticks may have some trouble re-acclimating to using a digital control pad.

If you own a PlayStation, and enjoy shooters, do not hesitate to pick this up. 5/5Read full review...

this game reigns supreme.

this game is great. rented this game from a blockbuster along time ago. when they were selling the older used games i looked for it but it was already sold. years later i find this one brand new still shrink wrapped. bought it without thinking and havent looked back. it was worth it to play an undamaged and unscratched disc.

i like the Kick-ass tank shooter; but, the only problem is that it's short.
this game is hard and not meant for noobs*

it's one of a kind, and not many tank games are this good. not to mention that there are a few tank action only games out there.

Best Tank Game Ever

Destruction and Chaos. Awsome weapons. The terrain is almost completly destroyable. Good selection of tanks. This game is a blast. If you like any other tank game you have to play this one.

A basic, point and shoot

This game is a first generation playstation game, basically it is point and shoot, it probably will bore most people today with the more advanced playstation 2 and 3 systems available. STEEL REIGN oldie but a goodie

It has been quite some time since I played this but this game is incredible. It is a shame they didn't make more of them. Great Levels, tanks have various weapons and you navigate through many levels , cities, refineries and this game is just fantastic and not an easy one either.
