Ms
I also have the windowsill type with the lights, the top on that one is quite flimsy, whereas the top on this one is a lot stronger, I would recommend this one, good value for the money.

as above
Considering its November and will not use till feb-march its difficult to make any comment re
being any good What is notice able the cover is almost useless having had stewart before
r>52 cm
for many years the cover is a very prone to cracking
I feel this very flimsy cover on this new model will be its down fall .
therefore I would rate this poor quality, value is possibly ok if handled with great careRead full review

Lightweight and so easy to use
These propagators are so easy to use, and lightweight. They are easy to move around. 2 full size seed trays fit inside.

Takes 2 full size seed trays side by side!
Cheaper than the Sankey 56cm electric propagators that I bought 30 years ago! They have done this by replacing the hard perspex cover with thinner, softer and more flexible plastic. This makes for a lightweight propagator propagator that is easier to move around and also means that if you drop the lid, it doesn't crack or shatter. A good move in my opinion.
but the highlight for me, is that it is shorter and wider than the Sankey ones that would not take 2 full size seed trays. brilliant improvement.Read full review

Does the job
Works well though plastic cover a bit flimsy. Bought a Stewart one few years ago abd still works well but that cover was much more substantial. Price the same as you pay in Wyvale.

Flimsy cover
The cover is very flimsy. Plastic not much thicker than that you would find used on supermarket packaging for meat. I have a Sankey 52cm propagator and the cover is very sturdy which is what I would have expected. Time will tell as to how long the Stewart lid will last.Read full review

Great bottom, rubbish top
This product is a good size and the bottom is strong and well made.
However the top is made of ridiculously thin plastic. Cant believe a company like Stewart couldn't have got a better top made. Several reviews i read have commented on this fact. Stewart get your act together.Read full review

Large size propogator
The product works well, however the plastic lid is rather flimsy and if care is not taken may be easily broken. Saying that the ability to raise seedlings for the larger garden or allotment is all ways an advantage.Read full review

What happened to the lid?
Only one fault ,the lid is much thinner than the one i bough three years back. Other wise it is perfect, the other one is still in perfect condition ,i just need more space.

Essential for gardeners
I now have 3 of these propagators and use them every spring to start off a variety of vegetable and flower seeds.
I save a fortune because I don't have to pay garden centre prices for plants to stock my large garden.
I also save because I don't have to buy vegetables from the supermarket.
I bought the first propagator more than 10 years ago and it still works perfectly Read full review
