Pretty good for the money

4 stars because they're a bit of a faff to work out, especially the locking system, instructions aren't the greatest.
However, they secure to the roof well, they're cheap and they do the job, don't expect Thule type rack, these are just a good cheap rack set, no better and no worse than a Thule in their primary job, secured two canoes to my roof happily.

Just remember for curved roof cars or low roof rails to switch the ends so they are on the outside of the roof and not inside, and to unlock them when doing them up.

Poor design and not a great product

An OK roof rack but with some design failings. Fitting is relatively easy but the actual grip mechanism around the existing roof bars that come with our Berlingo is poor. It is let down with the too flimsy wheel nut tightening up the grippers. It took a long while to stop the roof racks from slipping along. Tightening the plastic wheel is difficult as it faces down near the car roof so is really hard to get your fingers in. The tighten flaps with a lock one each side are OK but they get in the way of loads which can easily flip them up and loosen the whole rack.

A simpler tightening mechanism with a larger locking nut that you can tighten with a spanner would have been much better. The locking device is to be honest not much help as there is only one lock for each bar. You can easily loosen the other non-lockable side and then pull the whole bar off. I'll use it but only for light loads.

easy to fit

The quality is good, and it was value for money. It has it''s drawbacks as a universal roof bars as the shape of the locking mechanism is opposite to the shape of the longitudinal bars on the C-Max. There is also wind noise at speeds in excess of 60 mphRead full review...

Quality

The installation instructions say to tighten clamp to roof rail, then flip plastic clamp over. If this is complied with, it is not then possible to flip the clamp over. This fold-over clamp feels physically that it will self release with little persuasion.
The metal component of the clamp distorts whilst securing to the roof roof rail under reasonable force to effect the operation.
The flip-over clamp material is not of metal and feel the thin plastic will not have much longevity.
The lock is only on one end (difficult to see both ends of bar in the photo).
Not confident these roof bars would remain in place for more than a short journey.
Overall opinion - Poor

poor quality, ill fitting and not value for money.

The product does not fit, the bolt holding it to the roof bars is cheap and nasty, i would not recommend them to anyone, the rubber that's there to protect the roof bars is rubbish its loose and is not fitted, the bolt knob is hard to get to and i would hate to try to use these on the main road, save your money and shop elsewhere.Read full review...

Very Poor Product, Very Disappointed

Poor quality and poor fitment. The Anti-theft element of the bars is useless as the locks are only on one side of the bars. Release the catches on the side without the locks, slacken the adjuster and a gentle tug is all it takes to remove the bars from the vehicle. If you’re looking for secure good quality roof bars with a good anti-theft element to them, DO NOT BUY THESE.Read full review...

Great Budget Roof Bars

Quality and value for money were fine but fitting was extremely fiddly. However, once the fitting was mastered, the roof bars have proved excellent, especially bearing in mind their low cost.

Freelander roof bars

If I had read the instructions first I would have been able to fit it easier. That said it fits as promised. It's not the strongest bars I have used before but perfectly adequate for most purposes. If you want stronger you will have to pay considerably more Read full review...

Roof bars ok, But no instructions in the box as mentioned on the box.

I can remove when locked with just my fingers!.

It's OK

It was the cheapest of many very overpriced bars made to fit almost any model car with horizontal roof rails.
Not particularly easy to fit, although no tools are necessary.
The jaws that clamp onto the bars don't open quite far enough to be super secure on my Jeep Cherokee..
They seem to be just OK and hopefully won't come off.
I guess you get what you pay for, are the more expensive bars any better?
