Better Options Available

I've owned a number of Surefire lights over the years, and the quality can't be beat. I'd wanted one of these for some time, but there are better options out there. My E2 Outdoorsman (AA-LED) actually seems brighter in a lighter package. I also have a two (2) Streamlight Twin-Task lights (123a) in the the same configuration (LED-Halogen) which, though heavier, offer similar performance to the Aviator for half the price. Surefire has come a long way with the technology, so, unless you're committed to old-school, I'd go with the E2 L-A with the 123a batteries.Read full review
