perfect chips

Excellant for making chips if you follow this ,

Make fresh chips from maris piper potatoes the day before ,
Leave in water overnight,
Use Sunflower oil,
Dry off chips before cooking ,<br>Cook on full power for 5 minutes,
Let chips drain and rest on side of cooker for 4 minutes (they carry on cooking )
Cook on full power for 3 more minutes ,

Nice and compact but the handle is rubbish!! It comes loose when you shake the chips and when you tip the chips into a bowl. It’s actually dangerous!! The lid doesn’t sit on right either. Wish I hadn’t put the oil in I would be sending it back. Read full review

I haven't cleaned this item yet so cannot give you a definite yes or no answer. The item is easy to use but personally I noticed, compared to my last one that I had been using for several years, the basket and handle are quite difficult to separate and you have to let it cool down before attempting to do it. I cannot recommend this fryer enough - it is brilliant!

Simple and easy to use. I am originally from Yorkshire, where they make the best chips anywhere in the world! I now live in Cornwall, where they don't. So after doing lots of research, I bought my wife this deep fat fryer...... and it (and she) makes the most wonderful chips that I have had since I moved from Yorkshire 20 years ago! Small but does the job

Basket is a bit on the small size.
It would be no good for a family of four or more.

Accurate temperature control but can't be switched off from the mains supply. I only use it for chips as it keeps the oil clean. It's well made and overall I am very happy with it.
