Swann wifi cctv
Easy to set up and operate.there are better systems on the market but for keeping an eye on your driveway etc this is a good product.

Swann new-490 WiFi CCTV
It’s a shame I have to write this review the picture from the camera s is very good but is let down by the information in setting up system the wizard. Quick start guild has 7 steps at various points in the guide it says we will set particular features up at a later date when you get to step seven it refers to step out the thing is in the paperwork provided there is no step eight I contacted Swan by telephone which is exceedingly difficult to get technical support only to be given a pre-recorded message basically saying due to tcovid 19 to protect staff and customers nobody is available to take your call please leave your name and number and any messages and they will call you back!
I phoned 10 times and left messages nobody called me back in the instructions and information provided it does not explain how to fully set up the CCTV monitoring security system
So I was unable to set up the main feature of this system where the CCTV pictures are sent to your mobile phone or device that Wi-Fi has no information was provided in the packaging and with all the equipment I could not set up this feature the other problem I had is cameras loading losing their video signals at the best only two cameras send the signals back to your monitor and that’s only 50% of the time also in the information provided in the kit there is no telelphone no to contact Swann for tec support
But they do include a pamphlet titled too busy to do it yourself Swan recommended installers services which I looked up on the web and to come and sort this problem out because I cannot set this up and make it work the way they say it works cost somewhere around £350 so maybe me being cynical I deliberately don’t put a technical phone number in so you have no alternative to contact a professional installer to install this system.
My profession it is I am a heating engineer and we used wireless control systems quite regularly and I have no problems in setting these up to send all the information she will phone your tablet et cetera et cetera I’m not silly or stupid but this piece of kit full shoot in many ways the quality of the goods are good the problem is let down you do not have a full installers guide for it and how you go step-by-step through setting this up and a technical fault guide because I don’t know if it’s me not setting this up correctly or there is a fault with the system but without being able to talk to somebody I don’t know and it would appear the only way I’m going to find out is pay a fee of £350 for the privilege now this piece of kit that I bought was not cheap it retails for 460 and I only bought this system because I believe Swan was a good and reputable company and it was replacing an old wi-Fi for camera security system which basically does exactly the same job as the Swan but at the cost of £250 and I managed to set that up and it was working quite happily for two years when I thought I would update it to what I thought was a better quality and potentially a better piece of kit
So if I could turn back time I would not have purchased this let down by the lack of support the lack of information and no technical support
So if you’re thinking about buying a Swan security camera system I would recommend you only contemplating purchasing this postcode it is if you’ve got a problem you’ve got no help to get you out of it and it’s a shame because the quality of the camera pictures is really good the field of angle of the camera is great but I just can’t get this to work I have read other reviews saying similar things I will keep trying to get in contact with someone but somehow trying to contact someone in the UK is exceedingly difficult maybe I’ll be better trying to contact Swan USARead full review...
