This one is thicker metal, markings much clearer and easier to read, plus this one is more versatile with the scribe notches, just all around a much better speed square. awesome tool a little crude

I just want to say the markings are too big which makes it feel like it's not that accurate. also the surface is a little irregular which again can cause a problem in accuracy. i wonder if a better model is worth the price. because i imagine with a little practice it would be as good a the more expensive one. well. i just used it one day. next year a will have a proper opinion about it.Read full review

Don't ever want to be without one of these.

I have had one for years but could ;not find it so I got another one. These are handy little helpers on small or large carpentry jobs. I am thinking of getting the big aluminum one.
