I began getting the unassembled tetra whisper bio bags filled with carbon activated, charcoal , which i like because the bag itself ,can be used several times once' d rinsed in the water change , water, keeping the good bacteria , Only a few times then get a new bio bag out, which there is plenty of in this kit, and CHEAP. , then the charcoal keeps impurities, out of the tank and water clear. Because they are so inexpensive taking only a few minutes to fill , opposed to a one time pre-assembled. . I wouldn't buy it any other way again because there is always plenty on hand. .
