Brilliant little machine!
I wanted a replacement for my 25 year old Mantis that has just expired. I wasn't expecting much regarding power and capability - but WoW!!
This little machine really has some grunt and its go some advantages over the Mantis - like wheels, separate tines and drag bar. I also like the touch of providing protective glasses, gloves and over sleeves.
My only criticism is that the packaging for transit should be better. The tun-dish provided for filling was flimsy plastic and of course got smashed. Also the tine guard got slightly bent, but I was able to straighten this out. Assembly was a doddle and the handlebars can be folded if you are clever and then it fits in the back of the car for travel to the allotment. All in all a very good little tiller.Read full review

This is a light machine for light work and should be purchased as such.
My tiller arrived with some transit damage. Customer support were helpful regarding some starting issues and offered to replace the damaged parts. However, on initial use, a number of issues arose. After a few minutes running the tynes refused to turn no matter how fast the engine ran. I was told to check the oil. On referring to the (short) manual I found no reference to oil, how much, what grade, where to fill. Checked back with CS and got the info and was told the manual was out of date and a new one was emailed. It was identical. Oil was poured into the appropriate plug hole and off I went tilling again only to be stopped by a small stone jammed between the tines and the drive arm. Cleared that and went on only to find the same again. Called CS again and they offered to replace the unit as it was not acceptable to me (or them, in fairness).
A few days later a new one arrived and duly assembled. It does work most of the time but stones are still causing jams. I don't see any way round this and will live with unjamming as necessary.
Overall it will handle light work in lighter soils. It does require an easy touch and will do the job so long as too much is not expected of it. For the money I guess it is fair value but perhaps paying a bit more might have been a better outcome. Ten out of ten for customer support though!Read full review

Economic but sturdy mini-tiller for small allotments & gardens.
It's a good budget machine and does work well in small allotments. It's easy to handle and to assemble in 30 minutes and then ready to go. Starts well after a few pulls and you can expect to work for around half hour with 1 litre of mixed petrol-oil at full throttle. Make sure soil is not compacted or it will struggle. However instructions are a bit confusing as it says to check gearbox oil level by adding 30ml after 20 working hours (no spec nor grade) but I've checked removing one of the 2 nuts next to the transmission axle and there is a a blue grease inside instead, so I shall keep on eye to lubing / injecting grease from time to time. There isn't neither available extras nor offers for options & upgrades such as plough attachments.Read full review

Good product enjoyed using it
I used to repair the original Mantis type tiller when I had a tool hire and repair shop and this product is as good although I have only had it for a short while.😄

Good little tool
This is a good tiller for preparing your soil for seeding its not made for hard uncut ground , its lightweight enough to just pick up to where you want to use it , and light enough for the wife to use while you have a chat and a coffee with the rest of the gang down the allotmentRead full review
Compact, but does the job
Its small and relatively compact, Gives a good tilth to the soil, but being a 2 stroke is noisier than a 4 stroke and not as economical either. But given the size of my plot its ideal and not to heavy, the handles part fold so it take up a little less space. Overall its a good little digger and will save many a backRead full review
