Portable powerhouse!
I took this to a remote cabin in the wilderness to write songs. No power in the cabin but that didn't matter as the DP runs on batteries. If you use phantom power batteries go fast. Otherwise one set lasts for many hours. I finished my entire next CD using this device as a my writing tool. Best one I have ever owned.Read full review

Great creative product. Needs a little study. Recommend using a footswitch to punch in.
When you strip things down to just a simple recorder (as opposed to a DAW) it forces a higher level of creativity. Tascam portable Digital 8 track recorder
Love the size of this thing, just big enough to let you get to the controls. At one time bought a 2 channel recorder that you could supposedly add an infinite number of tracks, but you needed to be an IT Guru to do this.
This unit is fairly straight forward, simple to operate. I have not tried adding tracks yet, so not 100% sure. They could make it easier to find the AC adapter, not a big fan of batteries for the long haul. Happy with the product.Read full review
