Its ok
I had a korg d 12 for many years and it finally went bad. It was far and away a better machine. It had many more features BUT this one cost about a fourth that the korg did.
The tascam has a nice full sound It is pretty much bare bones recorder though.
For the price it is a very good machine and a lotta fun. Buy it and have fun. It has very high fidelity sound recording. Read full review
TASCAM's Finest - For the Record(ing)
Easy to use (if you have experience with stand-alone units) intuitive menus/controls. Only thing that could be improved (imo) is the effects section and which is limited in types and amount of effects which can be used simultaneously - HOWEVER at this price point, this is NOT an issue.
Highly recommend this unitRead full review

Tascam DP-24SD
Real Nice Unit....but be prepared to wade thru the instructions....even the quick start is a bit complicated for the first timer to recording......but persevere and you can do great things with this portastudio.....wouldn't recommend tucking it under your arm and hauling it around a lot however.............Read full review

Definitely the best choice for digital recording!
I received the Tascam DP-24 digital recorder in a timely manner. Although I haven't officially started recording with it. I have been learning how it works, reading the manual, watching video's. The learning curve is off the charts but doable. Takes time and patients to get through all the mixer assignments, including effects routing and dynamics settings, There is so much here to learn including mastering and a final CD burn. I find it fun and rewarding getting through each process so far for it is a challenge.Read full review

Recommend for its features and price.
Great features for a reasonable price. Easy to use, with many features to meet most recording needs. Would like to see it be easier to transfer files to a PC.

Great Multi track alternative
This is a great value for someone who is turned off to garbageband, pro tools based multitrack recording. It is relatively simple to use and has flexible capabilities. The effects are (at least as far as I have discovered) are not as good as external effects. They tend to distort the sound and make it sound overly processed. Use your old guitar and voice effects and have fun with it.Read full review

Tascam DP-24 Multitrack Recorder
Love this multitrack recorder. It's great for anyone wanting to break away from DAWs . My only cons are the lack of a pre- roll count- in and the waveform editing could be a little more precise but, overall It's more fun to use than a DAW and sounds great.Read full review
