FM very good. MW and short wave good with strong stations.

My two cents:
FM sound is very good. Easy to tune finding stations.
AM and short wave is good on strong stations. Weaker stations are a bit noisy (background noise). It is possible to listen to SSB but if you're into that you might consider a more specialized radio. The ease and accurasy of tuning weighs up for the few quirks in noise and selectivity. Chances are that you probably will not enjoy listening to weak stations anyway.Read full review

Tecsun PL-660

For a compact radio it performs very well especially on AM and FM with good sound quality.
SW is quite selective but I haven't had much success with SSB or Air although our airport is not far away. Overall for its cost I think it is a good buy. You definitely need to use NI Mh rechargeables although the ones supplied are only 1000 mah.Read full review

Great radio

Good radio. Take the time to watch some youtube videos on how to get the best out of this. Also, add a longer antennae. There are tons of features, but you can get started with this easily.
