Bad unit

From other reviews I had read this radio seemed like a good choice. Unfortunately the one I received has several issues; audio motor boating at high volume levels, spurious responses,and lack of sensitivity. I have other radios that are several years old that do not exhibit these problems.

Great sw radio!

I picked this up after playing around with a cheapo SDR dongle and some extra wire here and there and I have to say this radio is exactly what I wanted. It has all the features I need, has a very nice battery life, and I was even able to faintly pick up uvb-76 using the stock antenna from south-east USA (did not expect that one!).

Simple, efficient cover all of my interest

On LW with the internal ferrite get all the signal of the sea no receive ghost signal (with my funcube pro no way only noise and eco of signal)OM it's quite fine, no intermodulation selectivity and sharpness very good, on sw very good have agc with some fading but no problem the final result it's impressive i like very muchomit and it's really portable, on FM it's very good and the result on air band it's very good with low audio but very clear. The batery it's very practical and easy to recharge it. The sync it's very usefull with intereference and the ssb have a nice behavior.

Excellent radio for $105.00. Covers from 100 kHz to 30 MHz + FM + Air band. Reception of France from Indiana is fairly common. I have received stations from 14,000 kilometers away. Uses 4 common AA batteries or the mains. Love the digital dial that lets you know EXACTLY what channel you are listening to. I haven't traveled with this radio so I can't speak to its ruggedness. Good receiver for reasonable money

I buy this item by 2 reasons: 1. I need a all-wave radio "almost-pocket" size for travels. 2. I need HF receiver for my QRP set-up, to work with HF transmitter.
Very good receive with external full-size HF antenna. Nice design. Good sound on FM. Able to receive ham radio CW and SSB station.
