Techsun PL660 is good short wave radio

It took 3 weeks for the Techsun PL660 to arrive from Hongkong. The radio is of high quality appearance and performance. I used it regularly to listen to my favorite AM and FM radio stations. Compact and full of features

It is a great radio for the beginner that dose not want to spend a lot of dough.
It has way more memory than I will ever use and comes with an external wire antenna and a power adapter. Along with rechargeable battery's that I replaced with others so I cant say anything about them, all and all a great little listener for a fair price.Read full review

Tecsun PL-600 very good all around receiver

The Tecsun PL-600 is a very good small portable with a ton of options. The sidebands work well and the BFO works great for CW reception. The shortwave bands work well. The AM & FM bands sound great, the air band is very sensitive. This is a very good all around receiver.Read full review

Excellent General Use Radio

There is no “Chuffing” when tuning which is a muting of sound as you tune stations. I use ear buds as that would be really annoying!

Tecsun make several great models of SW radio and this is one of the flagship designs produced. Met or exceeding expectations

Old fart HAM who loves it.

This replaces my old Realistic DX-440.
It's smaller, lighter, consumes less power, and has all the same functional features as the 440.
I have no means to evaluate sensitivity through measurements, but it's my opinion it does a better job at HF frequencies.
I have been a HAM for over 60 years ... WA9IRM.
This is great for monitoring what's happening when traveling, and cannot bring your rig.

SSB very difficult to tune and receive amateur radio. SYNC feature somewhat useful. Sony 7600GR clearly superior in these 2 areas.
